Start Counting the Days Until Number Day

Wednesday 6th October 2010

Every year school children of all ages take part in Number Day, working their mathematical magic for a great cause - the NSPCC. Their number-based fundraising helps to protect the vulnerable children in the UK who need our services most.

This year there are even more reasons for teachers to take part in Number Day. One lucky school will win £1000 to spend on maths equipment courtesy of Vosene Kids and thousands of schools will be joining in to set the Guinness World Record™ for the biggest maths lesson and raise a record breaking amount of money for vulnerable children who need help from the NSPCC.

Your school can either take part in the Guinness World Record™ attempt, or come up with your own fundraising event to celebrate numbers on Number Day. Whatever you do, everything you need is on the NSPCC Number Day website for you to download. There are teaching resources including lesson plans and assembly plans, plus downloadable posters, stickers and templates to inform the local media about your fundraising activities.  The website also has fundraising activities for all key stages.

You can download a brochure for more information, ideas and inspiration to make your day a success.
