Sunday 12th September 2010

The Go-Givers website has over 80 free PSHE and Citizenship lesson plans and activities for KS1 and KS2. The Go-Givers project has been developed by the Citizenship Foundation, an independent charity based in the UK. The Citizenship Foundation aims to empower individuals to engage in the wider community through education about the law, democracy and society. It focuses particularly on developing young peoples citizenship skills, knowledge and understanding.

The home page of the Go-Givers website states the objective to "develop caring and concerned citizens with the skills and confidence to make a positive difference to their communities". They achieve this through a varied menu of free, engaging, and interactive citizenship-rich cross-curricular resources.

The website is packed full of custom-built web tools and ideas to support teaching across the curriculum and actively engage pupils, with motivational Tools to reward pupil achievement.

The available resources support SEAL, Healthy Schools and Community Cohesion initiatives. Resources and lesson plans are cross-curricular, promote literacy skills and are linked to QCA Units.

Teachers are required to register to access the teaching resources.
