Music For All
Monday 19th March 2012
Music for All, the charity for the UK musical instrument industry, has announced its launch of Learn to Play Day. Music for All has said that the event, which takes place on the 31st March 2012, is the first of what will be an annual event.
Musical instrument shops up and down the country will open their doors to anyone and everyone who wishes to have a ‘taster’ session on any instrument of their choice. Music for All hope that this will encourage a whopping 15 million people who say they wish to learn, or have given up playing, an instrument to pick up their dream and give it a go. The Learn to Play Day event is supported by hundreds of instrument shops, along with music teachers, who will provide free lessons and special offers to inspire new people into the world of music.
Music for All’s primary goal is to ‘Make More Musicians,’ and that’s just what this event was designed for. The occasion doesn’t just have the backing of shops and teachers, though, with some highly recognisable ambassadors for the charity, such as Al Murray and Aled Jones, as well as sponsorship links with a whole host of radio stations and musical equipment companies like Yamaha and Classic FM.
Learn to Play Day is expected to be a great success and really motivate a whole new crop of musical talent, of all ages, to never give up on their dreams. Or find a new one. Great for teachers to promote to their students.Go to www.learntoplayday.com for more info.
