Wednesday 16th February 2011

For Fairtrade Fortnight 2011 the Fairtrade Foundation are asking the nation to show off about buying Fairtrade products. Fairtrade offers 7.5 million people in the developing world a more secure future. It’s a way to help raise awareness of how important it is to buy fair-trade goods. From tea and coffee, to clothes and olive oil, cocoa and sugar, you can help imrpove workers lives all over the world by buying Fairtrade products.

You can show off Fairtrade any way you want. You could decorate your place of study with an inflatable banana. Hold a fun public event. Start stocking and selling Fairtrade products. Or take part in our attempt to break the world record for the longest continual piece of bunting.  Hold a fashion show with your friends, or just be loud and proud about how your business supports farmers and workers in developing countries.

They’ve got all sorts of tools to help you do it. So whether you’re a school, business, supporter or campaign group, look around the Fairtrade site, get inspired and get ready to Show Off Your Label.
