Timelines.tv is a free online history teaching resource providing teachers with a wealth of quality TV documentary arranged on interactive historical timelines spanning 1000 years of British history.

The website is very easy to use, utilising a scrollable and clickable timeline to view history modules.  Each module contains a wealth of streamed video - extracts of A History of Britain by Andrew Chater, the BAFTA award winning TV series.  Pupils will be transported to fascinating locations around Britain and entertained with insightful presenter-led story telling.

The Timeline spans 1000 years and has 3 parallel journeys that pupils can take - Social history, which explores changing lives through the ages; Political history, exploring Britains rulers and Imperial history, covering the British Empire.
